Overview

Procedures:

1) Look through the left side, see if your equipment has a common problem and according price. Check with me if you don't find a match! I deal with a lot more problems than listed here after 15 years of experience.

2) Text, call, or email. Please provide brand, model, symptoms, and pictures of damages and/or error.

3) Ship/Deliver your equipment to me. Fill out the Packing slip and shipping label forms. Buy signature confirmation. This is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT.

4) Your equipment is received and examined. I will ask for approval if there is any changes to the previous quote.

5) Make payment after the repair is complete.

6) I return/ship the equipment back to you. 5-Month-Warranty is included.

Examination:

For known problems, I can have a quote for you right away.

For cases with unclear problems/causes, it generally costs $50 for opening the equipment up to check and to provide an estimate. Cost of repair is extra.

Turn-around time:

Anywhere from 1 day to 4 weeks depending to type of problem and part shipping time.

Express service:

Urgent repair is possible with certain problems.

Specialization:

I specialize in Canon DSLR and Mirrorless cameras and EF lenses; and Sony Mirrorless and E-Mount lenses. Limited repairs on Nikon due to Nikon stopped selling parts to small independent shops since 2012.

Repair or buy a new camera?

-           Repair saves the camera that you’ve loved and been familiar with.

-           Repair costs less than buying a new camera of the same quality.

-           Repair helps reduce electronics waste.

-           Repair it then sell it, if you’d like.

When camera breaks down, it means certain parts are not working right and this compromises the whole system. The basic idea is to fix them or replace them; situation decides.

It's more practical and economical to have your camera fixed if it has problems such as: lens error, stuck lens, cracked LCD screen, bent CF pins... any problems that you feel "minor" and "fixable."However, if it suffers serious breakdowns such as: water-damaged, terribly smashed... get a new camera instead. Consulting with professionals for their opinions and quotes is a good idea.
